Patients should submit a written request for repeat medication.
DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS WILL TAKE 72 HOURS TO PROCESS FROM DELIVERY TO THE SURGERY FROM 6.30PM DURING NORMAL OPENING HOURS
If you request medication over the weekend it will be treated the same as if we received it on a Monday.
We do not accept requests over the telephone for repeat prescriptions.
Requests can be made on the internet for those who have registered and will be dealt with in the same time frame as above i.e. requests made when the surgery is closed will be actioned during surgery hours.
You can request medication up to 7 days before you run out. The surgery will not issue medication that is requested sooner than this.
We also offer a pharmacy collection service in conjunction with the local Morrison’s Pharmacy, Chapel Lane Chemist, Bridge Road Chemist, Asda Pharmacy, Boots Chemist etc. Please discuss the arrangements with your pharmacy, however the surgery does not accept any responsibility for arrangements made between the patient and the pharmacy.
Medication reviews are carried out by the doctor or clinical pharmacist on a regular basis as indicated by the date printed on your prescription request form. Repeat prescriptions cannot be issued after this date until the review has occurred.
Please be sure that you require the medication you are requesting - don't let your medicines go to waste.
